艺术家 Daniel Nie（聂丹） 简介如下：
- 出生于中国上海，1981 年凭全额奖学金赴美，先后在 Wake Forest University 与美国大学（American University, Washington D.C.）取得绘画学士与美术史、纯艺术双硕士学位 。
- 曾任教于多所学院，包括 St. Andrews Presbyterian College、北卡罗来纳州州长学校等，教授艺术史与工作室课程 。
- 自创画派 "Yi-mpression（意印象）"，把法国印象派的色彩光影与中国写意（Xie-Yi）的"写其意气"相融合，作品兼具东西方神韵 。
- 同时开发 "Coolligraphy" 英文象形书法，用英文字母写出类似中国象形文字的图像化文字，让西方观众也能体验水墨之美 。
- 现居华盛顿特区郊区，为全职艺术家，常年举办工作坊与展览，作品可在 Saatchi Art、TRiCERA、Etsy 等平台购藏 。
